Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Major Saver card different from other card programs?
- The individual offers on our card are one-time use offers. This enables us to negotiate a better value per offer. Our card pays for itself typically in two uses.
How will the major saver card affect other school discount card fundraisers?
- Many school discount cards are typically sold thru boosters and athletic clubs at the High Schools. The Major Saver card is sold thru elementary and middle schools. We strategically plan our campaigns so they do not conflict with other fundraising campaigns in your schools.
How does the Major Saver fundraiser differ from other school fundraisers?
- Our program is a district-wide program that is completely managed by Major Saver. There is no volunteer work and very little labor on behalf of the schools.
How much money can my district potentially earn?
- Your schools and foundation earn $7.50 for every card sold. Earnings can vary depending on your demographics but a typical formula looks like this:
-
Total Students x 25%-30% = Total Selling Students
Total Selling Students x $30-$35/student = TOTAL ESTIMATED PROFIT
How do I get started?
- Invite a Major Saver representative to your next foundation board meeting, principals meeting or superintendent's meeting. We can discuss the program features and benefits plus discuss how a typical campaign can work in your schools.
- We know that your school calendar fills up quickly. Our calendar fills up quickly as well so it’s important to start communications as soon as possible so that we can strategically place your campaign at the best possible time for you! Once we agree on a timeframe, leave the rest of the work up to us! It’s that easy!
